Complete Nolah Limited Edition Review

The Nolah Limited Edition Mattress is one of the various other options in their lineup that includes the Nolah Original and the Nolah Signature

In this brand, we typically find a high level of luxury and unique designs that stray away from the norm in the mattress industry.

The Nolah Limited Edition mattresses also have a certain level of uniqueness paired along with their own unique type of foam.

mattress view from the sideWhat Type of Mattress is the Nolah Limited Edition?

This is an all-foam mattress that has it’s own unique Nolah AirFoam to provide a unique sleeping experience from other mattresses.

This foam bed also has two different firmness settings that can be accessed by flipping the mattress.

There are two different options to choose from if you want the Nolah Limited Edition Mattress.

The cheaper version is 10″ and there is also a 12″ version for those who want a little extra comfort.

One thing that stands out about this mattress is that it sleeps a little cooler than some other types of mattresses.

How Firm is this Mattress?

The firmness of this mattress is a lot lower than what we find in many other beds since this is an all-foam bed that is free of springs or any sort of coil system.

One side has a thicker amount of firmness that focuses more on bringing about more support and coolness.

The soft side works more to provide pressure relief without sinking you too deeply into the bed.

As a whole, we find the firmness to be between 5-6 out of 10, depending on which side you sleep on.

How Many Layers Does it Have?

When we heard that this was a unique bed that could change the future of foam beds, we got a little excited to see what was inside the mattress.

Both the bottom and top layers are designed to be slept on.

On top, we find the soft side that is is best for contour support, whereas the bottom is the firmer and cooler side.

In the middle, we find two different layers.

First, there is a deep support high-resilience foam layer that serves as a transition layer.

Then, there is a reinforced high-density core foundation placed closer to the firm side.

In summary:

  1. Soft Side – 2.5″ Cooling Nolah AirFoam
  2. Deep Supportive High Resilience Foam
  3. Reinforced High-Density Core Foundation
  4. Firm Side – 1″ Cooling Nolah Airform

Does the Nolah Limited Edition Sleep Hot?

This mattress does not sleep as hot as many other foam mattresses.

This is at least the case on the firm side of the bed.

However, the catch is that when you sleep on the firm side you will also sacrifice a certain level of contour support that you can instead find on the soft side.

Unless you are used to all-foam beds and have tried one before, we don’t recommend using one right away if you are worried about sleeping hot.

All-foam beds are almost always hotter to sleep on than other types of mattresses.

When we look at all-foam beds like this one, one theme that stays prominent is the low level of motion transfer.

The sinkage level is not something that is consistent with this mattress as there are two different sides to choose from.

If you sleep on the soft side, you will have higher levels of sinkage than is present on the firm side.

Does the Nolah Limited Edition Smell When New?

It is common for new beds to have some sort of smell when they come fresh out of the package.

With the Nolah Limited Edition, we do sometimes hear of uncomfortable smells when it comes out of the packaging.

Usually, all you have to do is let the mattress air out for a week or so before it goes away.

In other cases, you might not even experience a new bed smell of any sort!

Does it Require a Foundation?view of the nolah limited edition mattress

This mattress, like other foam beds, is best paired along with an adjustable base.

The Nolah Adjustable Base is a great option to consider if you want to buy a foundation specifically designed for this bed.

The manufacturer also recommends that you use a foundation of some sort to best extend the lifespan of this mattress.

However, this isn’t to say that many people will refuse to use a foundation for this mattress.

What Type of Cover does it Have?

This mattress comes with an all-natural polyester and viscose cover that is not removable.

Therefore, those seeking to best take care fo their bed might instead choose to buy a separate cover.

This is a great way to keep your mattress clean.

How Durable is the Nolah Limited Edition?

When we look at the materials put into this mattress, we have no reason to believe that this mattress cannot last at least 8 years without problems.

The fact that there is a 15-year manufacturer warranty also implies that Nolah has a high level of confidence their mattress’ quality and durability.

Remember, though, that foam beds do tend to last a little shorter than other types of mattresses like coil beds and latex beds.

How Much Does the Nolah Limited Edition Cost?

The Nolah Limited Edition price depends on which option you choose.

Remember that there is a 12″ option and a 10″ option.

Here are the prices for the 10-inch:

Additionally, the prices for the 12-inch:

As a whole, this mattress can be a little pricier than some of the other all-foam beds on the market.

Warranty & Trial Period of the Nolah Limited Edition

The warranty and trial period for this mattress are pretty reasonable when compared to other mattresses on the market.

For starters, there is a 15-year warranty.

This warranty covers any sort of defects that you encounter along the lifetime of the mattress.

If you are a little unsure whether this is the right mattress for you, test the mattress!

There is a 120-night trial you can take advantage of before deciding to finalize your purchase.

Nolah Limited Edition Review – Our Verdict

As a whole, we find this mattress to be a good option for anybody that wants a versatile mattress capable of both being relatively firm and supportive along with the soft comfort that foam beds are best known for.

Compared to other beds in the Nolah lineup including the Nolah Original and the Nolah Signature, we find this mattress to be slightly superior.

However, we don’t see much of a difference between this mattress and other flippable foam beds with the exception of the unique Nolah Airform.
