- Motion Isolation
- Heat Dispersion
With a bounciness lent from the pocketed coil system and cushion from the memory foam layers, the DreamCloud mattress is a hybrid mattress with medium firmness.
However, those looking for an extremely cooling mattress, or one that is very firm or extra soft, the DreamCloud probably isn’t the answer.
This is a good all-around bed that doesn't quite stand out in any particular manner.
Additionally, stomach sleepers might find that they don’t feel properly supported since this mattress isn't quite firm enough to suit this position.

Couples will enjoy the DreamCloud mattress for its limited motion transfer and sinkage while offering some good edge support because of its strong base.
For those that tend to switch sleeping positions a lot through the night, this is a good option to keep from waking up a partner!
However, this is considered to be an all-around good mattress that doesn’t quite stand out as unique for any feature.
What Type of Mattress is the DreamCloud Mattress?
As an overall good all-around mattress, the DreamCloud mattress is suitable for a diverse range of sleepers and budgets.
The DreamCloud mattress is a cooling, gel memory foam mattress with a micro coil system and a built-in plush, supportive top.
As a luxury hybrid mattress, DreamCloud states that it is suited for all types of sleepers.
While the mattress itself only has three simple layers, it has some cooling features and a focus on comfort.
How Firm is this Mattress?
With the supportive coils and sinking foams in the DreamCloud mattress, we would rate it at about a 6.5 on the firmness scale (1 to 10, 10 being extra firm).
The mattress has a medium firmness that is pretty well balanced with the amount of sinkage and bounciness of the coils.
When looking at other typical baseline luxury mattresses, the DreamCloud has about the same firmness.
How Many Layers Does it Have?
The DreamCloud mattress hosts three layers with the cover on top.
It begins with a dense poly foam as its base that provides most of the behind-the-scenes support, even though you won’t be able to directly feel it.
The next layer consists of a support layer of pocketed coils.
Above that, there is a layer of motion transfer foam to minimize the transfer of motion.
Last but not least, the Eurotop is a layer of gel-infused memory foam and polyfoam to provide the coveted pressure relief and contouring that sleepers love.
In Summary, from the bottom up:
- Stay Put Control
- Edge Shield Coil System
- Low-Motion Transfer Foam
- Point-Activated Foam
- Trueloft Eurotop
- Cashex Cashmere Blend Cover
Does the DreamCloud Mattress Sleep Hot?
Because the foam within the mattress is infused with gel and air can flow through the pocketed coils, it should not sleep too hot.
However, with any type of foam mattress, a little heat will be trapped so if you are prone to sleeping hot consistently, there might be a better option for you rather than the DreamCloud.
How is Motion Transfer and Sinkage?
Just as with other hybrid mattresses like the Purple Hybrid Mattress, people often run into motion transfer issues.
However, this is not an issue on On the DreamCloud!
The coils provide a bounce that prevents people from sinking into the mattress and feeling stuck, while the top layers of memory foam provide a bit of cushion that isolates motion transfer – a nice benefit for couples that have different sleeping habits.
Another thing to note about the DreamCloud that is relevant for couples is that it has good edge support
Even if one partner gets close to the side of the mattress, they should not feel like they are about to fall off.
Does the DreamCloud Mattress Smell When New?
With almost any boxed mattress, there is a possibility for an odor directly after opening due to the packaging materials.
While there do not seem to be many complaints about the DreamCloud emitting any of these odors, the smell often goes away within a few hours or so after opening.
For any boxed mattress, we recommend that the mattress is left to expand for a while before sleeping on it regardless of whether there is a smell or not.
Does it Require a Foundation?
The DreamCloud mattress is recommended to have some sort of solid foundation underneath it to better support it.
As a 15-inch mattress, it may stand a little taller than the bed you have now, so it’s important to get a foundation that works for you.
DreamCloud does sell a platform bed base and different frames for its mattresses if you want to stay within the same brand.
If you would like to use a high-quality base for this mattress, we recommend the IDLE Adjustable Base.
What Type of Cover does it Have?
The cover is made of a cashmere and polyester blend to provide contouring and a bit of cushioning as soon as a sleeper lays down.
It is thin and soft, without detracting anything from the overall feel of the mattress.
Combined with the Eurotop layer, they make a nice cushion before hitting the denser memory foams within the mattress.
How Durable is the DreamCloud Mattress?
Typically, boxed mattresses tend to last around 7 to 10 years.
From what we have seen, the DreamCloud has a nice track record with being extremely durable and able to stand up to regular wear and tear very well.
Thankfully, the individually wrapped coils and poly foams are made of long-lasting materials expected to withstand years of use.
How Much Does the DreamCloud Mattress Cost?
For a short time you can get a discount of $200 + 2 free pillows, duvet and 2 towels! Simply use our coupon code JULY4 in your shopping cart to enjoy these prices:

Compared to other similar online mattresses, this seems to rest about average in the price range, although it doesn’t offer many value-adding materials besides the warranty.
On top of the mattress order itself, customers also have the option of adding white-glove service for a varying fee depending on the size of the mattress.
Warranty & Trial Period of the DreamCloud Mattress
Looking at other mattress brand warranties and trials, the DreamCloud mattress hits it out of the park.
With a lifetime warranty, you will never have to worry about any defects or bad workmanship the entire time you have the mattress!
Additionally, DreamCloud also boasts a nice year-long trial period to allow their customers a chance to get a feel for the mattress.
DreamCloud Mattress Review – Our Verdict
For those looking for a basic all-around luxury mattress, the DreamCloud is a good option.
With some cooling features built-in and individually wrapped coils, customers will love the sleep they can gain from the mattress.
Instead of focusing on one single type of sleeper, DreamCloud can attract many different kinds with its simple design.
Side sleepers and back sleepers will enjoy the support with cushion, and combo sleepers will appreciate the bounciness that allows them to move between multiple positions through the night.
For those looking for a solid mattress that covers all the basics of luxury, the DreamCloud is the mattress for them.
